Dr. Dmitri Souza earned his medical degree in 1987 and Doctor of Science degree in 2000. He is board-certified in internal medicine, anesthesiology and pain medicine. He graduated from the anesthesiology residency program at Yale University School of Medicine in Connecticut; from the internal medicine residency at Good Samaritan Hospital of Maryland, which is affiliated with Johns Hopkins University; and from the pain medicine program at Cleveland Clinic. He is a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at Ohio University and Director of Clinical Research at Western Reserve Hospital Center for Pain Medicine. His research interests that include but is not limited to inpatient interventional management of severe headaches, regenerative medicine and advanced interventional management of headaches using multimodal imaging. He has authored numerous publications, and he teaches pain medicine at national physician symposia.
