Peer-Review Process and Manuscript Status

When a manuscript is submitted to the AHM journal online, the corresponding author will prompted at the time with a message to confirm the successful submission of the manuscript and an email acknowledging the submission will be sent within 48 hours.

A least 2-3 members of the Editorial Board or external consultants generally review all manuscripts except for letters to editor and editorials.

Authors are usually advised within 3 weeks if their manuscript has been accepted, rejected, or requires further revisions before acceptance.

Revising a submission does not guarantee acceptance; all revisions will require additional review by the Editor in Chief or other Editors.

The editorial office will contact the corresponding author for any unforeseen delays unavoidable (for example: if a manuscript is sent for additional review of statistics, or sent to an external consultant experienced in this particular research area).

Once a manuscript has been accepted, we will publish it on our website and a PDF version will be made for the manuscript that can be downloaded.

We will conduct a plagiarism-check on submitted manuscripts with iThenticate, and archive them with CrossRef.
