Dr. Rick Pescatore is the Director of Clinical Research for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Crozer-Keystone Health System. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and was a naval officer before attending Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He trained in Emergency Medicine at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Pescatore has published extensively in both the scientific and lay literature and is a monthly columnist for Emergency Medicine News. His research interests include emergency headache interventions, care variation, and the role of evidence-informed practice. He is active in the Free Open Access Medical Education community and works to narrow the communication gap between patients and providers.
